Welcome Back

Welcome Back Delaney Families!

We are off to a great start with the last 4 days being filled with smiling faces and excitement.  2013-2014 is going to be a great year!

Each Friday I plan to use the blog to update you with happenings from the school, upcoming events, and important reminders.  You can sign up for automatic update emails that will let you know when new information has been added.  In addition, you will also receive an email blast from the superintendent's office reminding you that there is new information to check.  I hope that you find this means of communication helpful and welcome suggestions and feedback.

Thank you in advance for taking a moment out of your busy schedules.

Sincerely,
Melissa D. Peterson
Delaney School Principal

A few reminders...
  1. Please remember to drive carefully and slowly when dropping your children off during morning arrival.  Students should exit directly onto the sidewalk and not into the parking lot.

Grade 2 & 3 Recess/Lunch Changes

This year we will be piloting recess before lunch for our 2nd and 3rd grade students. Research shows that there are several benefits to doing so including greater nutritional intake and positive behavioral outcomes.

We will continue to monitor this change, however feedback from students and adults after the first week has been positive.  Please feel free to share your input with me either via the blog or a direct email at petersm@wrentham.k12.ma.us.

Also, please feel free to send wipes or hand sanitizer in your child's lunchbox if you wish.

Welcome to the start of a new school year and a year of A+ School Rewards. Starting September 1, 2013, you can link your Stop & Shop card for the upcoming school year.
