Greetings Delaney Families,
Today was Red Sox spirit day in honor of opening day at Fenway and the school was a sea of red, white, and blue! Hopefully we'll bring them great luck today and for the rest of the season. Go Sox!

We kicked off our juvenile diabetes fundraiser this week with an informational rally. Students brought home envelopes with fundraising options including sneakers to record their donations. As students receive donations they will be bringing in their sneakers which will be hung up in the hallways around the school. We're hoping to line as many of the hallways as possible before we conclude the fundraiser on April 16th with our walk.
Positive Referrals
Congratulations to the follow students who received Positive Referrals! They demonstrated outstanding kindness and compassion towards their classmates and friends.
Congratulations to Mrs. Albertini's first graders! They were outstanding representatives of the Delaney School on a recent field trip to the Biomes Center. Their behavior and manners were exemplary!
In honor of the start of poetry month, students in Mrs. Burke and Mrs. McNeal's classes participated in a Poetry Celebration. The boys and girls memorized and recited several poems and treated the audience to some great songs as well!
Students in Ms. Shaw's third grade classroom investigated polygons by solving " the Four Triangle Problem".
Spring Book Fair
The Spring Book Fair is next week, April 8-April 10.
Tuesday night is the Fiesta Family Night from 6-8 PM with activities and
refreshments. The fair will be open Wednesday after school until 4:30.
Thank you for your continued support of the Book Fair.
We are able to purchase books, smart boards and other school supplies with
proceeds.
Teacher Appreciation Wraffle and Luncheon Money
A BIG Thank you to everyone who has donated items for the
Staff Appreciation Wraffle. Many of you have also sent in your dollar for
the staff luncheon in May. Please send $1 per child or $3 max per
family for the luncheon. You may put it in an envelope marked
PTO lunch. Children can drop off in the PTO bin in their classroom.

Many thanks to Denise Angerame who has coordinated the
Wraffles for the staff for over 6 years! We will miss her dedication and
expertise. Thank you, Denise!
Trex Plastic Bag Collection
We are still collecting bags, however the contest ends April
22. Please bring your bags before April vacation. Better yet, bring
them next week when you come to the Book Fair! The drop off boxes are
inside the first set of doors in Delaney entrance.
