March 8, 2013

Greetings Delaney Families,

I hope that you are all well and enjoyed your week and weekend. Here's hoping that we've weathered our last snow storm of the school year.  We are ready for Spring!

A couple of reminders...

  • Please remember to send your children with the appropriate clothing for outside recess.  Students who have boots and snow pants will be allowed onto the snow.  With all the snow melting (wahoo!), the playgrounds will be wet and likely muddy.  Feel free to send some extra clothes in your child's backpack just in case.

  • There will be a Principals' Coffee held this Thursday, March 14th at 8:30 a.m. in the Vogel Auditorium.  Mr. Grenham and I will be discussing the student placement process for the 2013-2014 school year.  We will be reviewing the logistics of the process and focusing on the parental input letter.  We'd love to see you there!

  • There will be a professional development day for teachers on Friday, March 15th.  Therefore, there will be no school for children this Friday.

Kindergarten Registration

Kindergarten registration was held on Thursday, March 7th. Transitional kindergarten registration has been closed and a lottery will be needed.  Parents who have registered their child will be contacted with the details shortly.  Spots are still available in full day and half day classes. If you or someone you know has not registered yet, please stop by the Delaney Office as soon as possible with your registration packet, your child's birth certificate, proof of residency, and most recent immunizations.

Students in the News...
Girl Scout, Callie Schweitzer, donated cookies to the Wrentham Fire Department in recognition of all that the firefighters do for the community.  We couldn't agree more.  Great job Callie!

Congratulations to Dr. Marsden and all of the dancers who participated in Friday's "Dancing with the Wrentham Stars" event.  The fundraiser was a huge success and a great time was had by all.  Thank you to all who voted and donated in his honor to WEST.

Have a great week and as always, thanks for reading.

Sincerely,
Melissa D. Peterson
