Week 34 (May 12-16)

Hello Delaney Families,

Please enjoy this week's edition of the Delaney Blog.  It's been a great week!

Memorial Day Program

On Friday, May 23rd, the Delaney and Roderick School students will participating in the annual Memorial Day celebration.  The program will begin at 9:00 a.m. and will be held, weather permitting, in the Delaney Courtyard.  Children in K-6 have prepared songs and poems to share with our guests.  We hope you can join us.

On behalf of the entire Delaney School staff, thank you to the PTO and the many many volunteers who donated to the amazing Teacher Appreciation Luncheon.  Everything was delicious and we are all so thankful and grateful to each of you.

Congratulations and thank you to the students in Mrs. Sabatini's and Ms. Shaw's classes.  They were chosen by the state to pilot the PARCC online End of the Year Mathematics test and did so in spectacular fashion!

The Art Show was a huge success!  Thank you to Mrs. Lovely and all of the amazing volunteers to who helped to set up and dismantle the show.  It was so wonderful to see the very excited and proud students show off their amazing talents to their families and special guests.

Students in Mrs. Sabatini's third grade participated in Reader’s Theater plays:  Orpheus-A Greek Myth, Sideways Stories, and The Boy Who Wanted the Willies.  Great job!

Positive Referrals!

Over the past several weeks, students have been receiving positive referrals at an amazing pace! I am so proud of each of them for demonstrating outstanding character and setting good examples for all to see. Each of these children will be invited to our final Positive Referral breakfast celebration on Friday, May 30th along with their families.

Thank you for reading!
Have a wonderful weekend.

Sincerely,

Melissa Peterson, Principal
